Ana LiggioDana St. James

Dana St. James has been advising Fortune 500 companies such as Accenture, Hewlett-Packard and 3Com as well as many start-ups for over 20 years. His expertise includes technology transactions, outsourcing, software licensing, SaaS agreements, trademark matters, Open Source, supply chain, product liability and establishing joint ventures in India, China and Europe. Early in his career, Dana served as an Attorney Advisor for the US Department of Transportation. He is a Commander in the US Coast Guard Reserve (ret.).

In addition, Dana frequently lectures on intellectual property licensing at the Practicing Law Institute (NYC), the University of New Hampshire School of Law, the Licensing Executive Society and the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education center. His publications include: In Pursuit of “Intellectual Gold” (Forefront Magazine), contributing author to Hidden Value, Profiting from the Intellectual Property Economy, and Developing and Implementing a Trade Secret Protection Program (LES Nouvelles).

Dana holds an AB from the College of the Holy Cross, a JD from Boston College Law School and an LLM in Banking and Finance from Boston University School of Law. He is admitted in Massachusetts. He is Vice President and on the Board of Directors of the New England Corporate Counsel Association. When not advising clients, Dana may be found cycling or hiking in Massachusetts with his wife Eileen.
