Billie Audia

Billie Munro Audia is the Managing Partner of the Zermatt Legal Group. She advises clients on copyright and trademark related matters in the technology, specialty retail and entertainment sectors.  

Zermatt Legal Group LondonBillie's 20+ years of experience includes 7 years in London as an international corporate lawyer for two Silicon Valley companies where she was responsible for all legal matters across Europe, Middle East and Africa; and, 5 years in San Francisco as the Legal Director for Commercial Transactions for Gap, Inc. Early in her career, she was an associate with Covington & Burling and a business affairs lawyer for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.

Billie is a law professor at Vermont Law School where she teaches International Intellectual Property law, and a lecturer at Tuck Business School (Dartmouth College), Suffolk Law School and the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (Boston University). Her publications include: “Your First Licensing Deal”, “Managing a Pan-European Reduction in Forces” and “So You Want an ® Rating”.

She earned her JD from the University of Denver and her BA, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts.  She completed executive MBA courses at London Business School and advanced legal studies at Harvard Law School. 
Her United States bar admissions include: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1990-present), State of California (MJP 2005-2008), and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC.

When she is not advising clients, you may find Billie chasing her family down the ski slopes in Colorado or competing in sprint triathlons in New England.  Billie is a member of the ski patrol at Okemo Mountain Resort and a board member of the Upper Valley Aquatic Center.  Through her leadership and participation in the Harpoon Point-to-Point cycling ride, she is an avid fund-raiser for the Vermont Food Bank.
